Mudgee Wineries

A trip to Mudgee isn’t complete without visiting the wineries! A unique activity to make your weekend memorable is to bike to each winery. Hop on a bike and ride, the terrain is generally flat and all the wineries are close in proximity.

Mudgee Wine & Food Festival 

If you’re visiting in September, we recommend staying during the Mudgee Wine & Food Festival! This is one of New South Wales’ longest running wine and food festivals and will feature a diverse range of events including live music, tastings, lunches, dinners and tours. With festivities kicking off on 7 September and continuing through the rest of the month, there are many chances to indulge in food and wine pairings, tastings, platters and tasting flights. Sign us up!

Ferntree Gully Reserve

Walk through unique rainforests and western plant communities at Ferntree Gully Reserve. There are a number of walking tracks at Ferntree Gully that take you down into the cool narrow ferntree-studded valley floor, and/or around the top edge of the rocks where you can get an overview of the valley and the unusual rock formations on either side.

Once we get back to normality, we hope to see the Mudgee Markets kick back off.Every Saturday of the month features a different local market. Peruse the markets at your own pace and discover handcrafted textiles, local produce, freshly baked bread and cakes to olive oils and cheese. All stallholders must adhere to strict guidelines, ensuring that all goods sold must come from the Mudgee Region. If you’re wanting something authentic to remember Mudgee by, you can’t go past the markets!
